Residential Care

Residential care offers older people support with day to day
tasks including washing, cleaning or dressing while promoting independence
and person-centred care to those who do not have needs that require specialist
nursing or dementia care.

Our care homes have all of the comforts you would expect, with the small
personal touches that make a real difference.

Moving into a care home doesn’t mean someone needs to leave their previous
life behind. We support our residents to be as independent as possible, safe in
the knowledge that we are there whenever they need us.

Our dedicated carers are there around the clock to offer support, provide
personal care as well as companionship.

Many of our residents see their carers as members of their extended family,
and it’s this close bond that they share, which makes our homes truly
special.

By working closely with other healthcare professionals, we are able to care
for people who have underlying health conditions. District nurses come in and
administer insulin, change dressings and take blood pressure, meaning that our
residents can remain in the comfort of their home when they need medical
support, rather than going into hospital.

We pride ourselves on caring for our residents as though they were members
of our own family. With this in mind, our care homes are designed with all the
usual comforts you would expect from home, creating a relaxing atmosphere with
features such as cosy fireplaces and personalised bedrooms.

In partnership with our residents and their loved ones, we create a bespoke
care plan to build a picture of not only their health and wellbeing needs but
their emotional needs and who they are as an individual.

We tailor care and support to residents’ personal needs, so whether it’s
something as simple as knowing they like a little extra sugar in their tea, to
helping someone to rekindle a much-loved past time; we are there to help them
to live life to the full.

Our residents are free to spend their time how they choose whether taking
part in an activity, such as a craft or baking session or simply relaxing in
the garden.

In all of our homes, our catering teams prepare a variety of seasonal
home-cooked meals, with taste and nutrition at the heart of every dish, where
residents choose from varied daily menus.

If the time comes for a resident to need palliative care, we work closely
with palliative care specialists and district nurses so that we can continue to
care for them in the comfort and privacy of their home, reducing the likelihood
they will need to spend their final days in a hospital.
